How a listing is put together
Open mapping data and public registries give the name and the location. The venue's own website gives the rest: capacity, the shape of the place, how to get in touch. Nothing is published before it has been checked against that website, so a listing reflects what the venue says about itself.
About the artwork
The illustrations on the venue type pages are generated artwork, and they are never used to stand in for a particular venue. A drawing of a barn printed under a real venue's name would suggest something about that place that may not be true, so listings carry no picture at all. Wedding photographs also belong to the venue, or more often to the photographer who shot them, and those are not taken without permission.
